WHY THE FOX WINS?

Summary
In the valley there are three farmers: One named Boggis who is a chicken farmer, one named Bunce who is a goose farmer, and the other is named Bean, who is a turkey farmer, and likes to drink cider. They are selfish.
In a tunnel, there is Mr. Fox’s house. He has a wife and four children. He always steals the farmer’s food. Mr. Fox loves his wife and he always steals what his wife wants.
When the farmers learn about this, they are very angry. They want to catch the foxes, so they wait in front of the fox
tunnel. When Mr. Fox goes out to steal some ducks and geese, the farmers shoot off his tail.
Mr. Fox goes back into the tunnel and tells his wife he’s hurt. His wife licks him and tells him his tail was very beautiful. His family is very sad.
The farmers are very angry. They think of some good ideas to catch Mr. Fox. Bean says “we can use shovels and break this tunnel, and catch him.” They call some people to bring a bulldozer machine. They turn on a big light and watch the hole for the foxes to come out at night.
Down the tunnel, the fox family is very hungry. Mr. Fox sits down and thinks. “We can dig; the machines can’t be faster then us.” They dig a long time. They feel hungry and tired. Mr. Fox is sick.
One day, Mr. Fox has an idea. They dig in a special direction. First, they dig to the chicken farm. They are very happy when Mr. Fox gets three big chickens. The smallest fox brings the chickens back and gives them to his mother to eat. They prepare a feast for all the animals. They also dig to the duck and geese farms. They take two push-carts to load food on and push them back. While they are digging, a Badger says he has doubts. Mr. Fox thinks and says “Call all the animals to my house tonight. I will make a big feast for you all, because it is my fight.”
When they get to Bean’s secret cider house, a selfish mouse comes out and tells them to go away. Mr. Fox isn’t scared. He gets a lot of cider and goes home. When they get home, Mrs. Badger and Mrs. Fox hug their husbands. Badger calls everybody to cheer for Mr. Fox. Mr. Fox hopes everybody can always be together. The three foolish farmers are still waiting for the foxes to come out.

My thought
This story has a good ending. I like Mr. Fox because he helps everybody and his family is good foxes. The farmer is so selfish but Mr. Fox didn’t scare him.
I like Mr. Fox, because when there is nothing to eat, he thinks up an idea to survive.
This author wrote many great books. I thought this book was so perfect. His writing style is completely good too. I hope I can read more of his stories.
This story’s plot is excellent, but the setting is so-so; I thought his setting could be more exciting too, like the plot was.
Of all the characters in this book, I liked Mr. Fox because he always acts intelligently. I like the Badger too, because he always acts like Mr. Fox.

What I learned
In the story I learned that if you want to stay alive, you need to eat. If you have food you can feed your family too.
The author wrote with good English grammar. I hope Oliver can read this story one day, too.
At the start, the vocabulary was so difficult, but when near the ending it got easier.

In conclusion, Mr. Fox liked to steal the farmer’s things; I’m not sue about this. Do you want to read this book now?
